I gave this to my sister for Christmas as well as a nail polish and the Visibly Replenishing and Plumping Lip Cream (which is super matte and yet HYDRATING).
Lancôme Petit Trésor Ombré Hypnôse Mono’ Eyeshadow in Fil D’Argent.
Would you look at this?! It’s so precious, I like the attention to detail Lancôme has, which is why I keep purchasing the brand.
It’s here, and it’s all mine :D
I need some time to photograph, swatch and test it out, and since it’s finals time (yaaay…) it might take me some time. I want to give you guys the best review possible and not rush this out for the sake of having the post out before other people.
A few weeks ago I received this palette and while I am not the person that sports a smokey eye too often—in fact I’ve done it only twice this year because I almost never get it right—still it felt like a great opportunity to try other brands and more importantly, other styles.
This palette is from Studio Gear Cosmetics, and to be frank, I never knew this brand existed. Here’s a brief description of the brand:
"Founded by industry veterans Steve Rohr and John Avolio, Studio Gear Cosmetics is a prestigous cosmetics brand featuring a full collection of professional makeup brushes, revolutionizing complexion formulas, and a wide selection of color products for the eyes, cheeks, and lips. Since 1996, Studio Gear has been on set at hundreds of professional photo shoots, in the beauty departments of Bloomingdales, Macy’s, Dillard’s, HSN and ULTA, and also in the everyday woman’s makeup bag. This is a line created true to the concept that every woman deserves professional, high quality cosmetics at a reasonable price."
Being a habitual customer of Dillard’s, I can say I have never, ever seen this brand around, but OK. Maybe they’re not available in my area.
I was so excited to finally get this! I’ve been on a matte eye shadow kick lately and this seemed the perfect way to go about it. I’ve been using this non-stop for the past month, and let me tell you, I was surprised.

A little sneak peek of what I’ll be reviewing in the next few weeks :)
If you want me to review a certain product, let me know in my askbox!
I had a giftcard and finally, after months of wanting it, I got the Kat Von D Ladybird palette! I am so excited since I’ve been getting into matte looks and this was the perfect addition to my stash. I’ll put up a review and swatches soon, even though this came out in June, perhaps some of you are still on the fence about it :)
I also redeemed my birthday gift from Beauty Insider, and now it is the time to see if this Benefit mascara lives up to its hype. Let me know if you want a review! The Watts Up! illuminator is totally going on my travel case.
